We all know the answer to the question: “What is the meaning of Christmas?” We know that it is meant to remember the birth of Jesus. We know that it is a time to set aside arguments, join together with our family and neighbors and have “peace on earth, goodwill toward men.” But, doing these things during the Christmas season does not necessarily mean that we do them with the right attitude. We tend to tolerate our family and neighbors for the month. We may even buy them gifts, but only because we know that they are buying us one as well. The attitude behind the season is what matters. When we have the wrong attitude about Christmas, we betray they spirit of Christ. We go from the Christmas season, to “Christmas Tree-son.”
